Need impression of those who have x73~~

i am considering replacing my row shocks and roock lowering springs with these.
not sure if this is a good move or not its just my car seems a little off...
i would like to keep a decent ride and keep the car lowered from stock just not sure if it will rattle my teeth to death and or not lower the car enough

thanks for input!!
i dont need the adjustability of the pss9 system however if its a better system comfort wise and lowering wise please let me know
thanks

If the x73 is as good as the X74 then I would go for it. I love mine and the ride height id perfect.

Yeah, I am interested in the same thing. Don't need adjustability, simply want the gaps eliminated and want slightly more stable handling.

Best setup for the Turbo IMO, keeps the car very streetable, great for street/track drivers.

Will I be scraping my aerokit front lip on every little bump if I get X73? By the way, how much does this option cost? My dealer said that I could not order it straight from the factory, but I understand that it can be installed by various aftermarket tuners.

That is correct you cant order the X73 for your car from the factory, you can purchase it from Gert at Carnewal.com and have your dealer do the install.

Thanks, Justin. I would like to keep the stock 18" GT3 wheels and install X73 but I am worried that my front lip (aerokit) will scrape. I drive the same streets that Mansour (msindi) drives and he seems to have preserved his aerokit front lip despite having lowered his car even more than X73 does. What do you think I should do? Thanks again.

Jim

Dr. Jim...My car is really not that low...It is on a pretty high setting. KPV started a thread a long time ago where everyone with coilovers posted their height and I had the highest one (so did John D II as we both used the same tech )

Also Dr. - even without lowering your car scraping the lip is just like getting stonechips: INEVITABLE!
My friend has a completely stock 02 and he scrapes his stock none aero lip sometimes thanx to the great roads of the city we live in (even worse in Cambridge! I used to go to MIT and man is Mass. Ave. HORRIBLE)

Mansour: thanks for the info. I will drive the stock Aerokit TTX50 for a while before even thinking about getting X73. By the way, Alfie says that my baby is due at end of March. I am becoming more and more excited as each day passes (first Porsche ever for me). Thanks for all your (and everyone else's) highly informative posts. Your collective knowledge has been invaluable to me!

Jim,

January build with an end of March, early April delivery!!! I somehow just goit slid into a March build, does that mean I wait until End of May or Early June!! My dealer said a typical March build means April delivery, but, mine is rather atypical as he found a car, from another dealer, that was being switched so much that they kept pushing back the production and was never given "final" build status. It is still listed as a March build, however, will probably be end of march with end of April or early May delivery. Based on your situation, I probably won't recieve my car until June??? Boy, I hope not!! My 2003 Turbo was a March production and I got it in Mid May.

Talking x-73

Having recently installed the x-73, (I have about 500 miles on it), I really couldn't be happier. Yes it is stiffer and the ride at slow speeds is rougher but when the car gets up to speed,(over 40mph) it is an exotic experience. This is how a porsche is supposed to ride, closer to the 993 turbo yet more stable. Do I miss the stock suspension when crusing around town, yes but the x-73 more than makes up for it when you hit the throttle and throw the beast into a turn. The ride height is really not a problem. The car is still higher than the GT-2. I don't have the aerokit but I have no problems otherwise. Fish
