Hey Tal,
I got my wheel, took off the little logo and there is an indentation and alittle adhesive which I am still removing.
I think the indentation looks better than the cheap sticker.
Anyway after getting the wheel I think the airbag cover looks real nice in person, even if its not leather. So, I took off the airbag cover and am going to cut the shape of the crest in there and insert it with some backing so it sits flush.
I will post a pic when done probably over the weekend.
Did you get yours yet?

What do you think of the "Limited Edition" airbag?

I personally think it looks cleaner with the non-leather airbag, I dont like the stitching and it looks puffy, also I prefer the enamel crest over the stamped version.
I like the way yours looked, but it is also quite a bit more expensive.
Did you take off the bottom 3-d sticker?
I think mine will look horrible with the porsche crest and the sticker logo...

yeah, the sticker came off... I like the etched porsche logo quite a bit... a bit more unique.. I do have to agree with you that it was a "tad" more expensive..lol.. although I would prefer an embossed crest rather than etched...but oh well...

You'd have to post pictures when you're done with your wheel..

what did you use to remove the adhesive? also, did you have an indentation left in that spot?
I will post pics when I finish.

here is my wheel so far. just added the crest, kinda disappointed since it looks like a sticker... but still looks good.
i removed the logo at the bottom and got an ugly indentation with some residual glue, I could live with the indentation, but the glue is unbearable.
so i am gonna make a custom dome sticker that says Carrera S

Where's the crest from? Is it stitched into the airbag?

Go with a 340mm wheel, the 320mm wheel is a tad too small.

There is a company who advertises on e-bay that will repad your OEM
steering wheel. They send a loaner while making the upgrade.
I checked just now to attach a link, however they are not currently
listed on e-bay. They show a yellow steering wheel as an example
of their work. It is totally inproved over stock. Price is around $400.

If its AGLA...forget it...dude made a "thicker" wheel for me... he promised 10 days...it took him about 6 weeks... with all excuses....my OEM airbag wont even fit then ... and he gave me a hard time when I wanted to return it. I ended up disputing the damn charge.

yeah its AGLA on ebay, it is actually really difficult to redo a steering wheel and make it look like one of these aftermarket ones.
A few leather guys will do a great job but usually require up to a month to do the work.
Ari, the logo I used is a metal silver porsche crest, it is a few mm thick so I had toinsert it into the vinyl. couldnt just stick it on or else it would be raised.
BTW, anyone looking to get this wheel, I just placed it in the for sale section.
I have the adaptor for a 997 but it will fit any model with the right adaptor.

I'd be afraid that enamel crest would fly off into my face upon airbag deployment, the one on the OEM wheels from Porsche must have had testing so it wouldn't scare me as this would Raffi.

I'd take the plain leather one or the embossed like ARI's
