In law, we call this arguementative. You give a conclusion, but no evidence to support it.

I bought Kevin and UMW for his conviction in his product as well as testimonials from others here in 6speedland. However, I'm still always interested in further opinions, especially given that it's dead of winter here in NE Ohio (as I constantly remind everyone in every single post I write) and I have not yet even had the chance to try this baby out. I'm just chomping at the bits right now.

So, I am not disrespecting your opinion, rather asking you to support your conclusion based on some foundational experience for us to digest.

BTW, I just love reading about others getting the mod bud! Misery LOVES company!!!

With all due respect to my fellow practioner, there is ample evidence on this forum to support the referenced conclusion that EVOMS offers custom set-ups and programming (in addition to off-the-shelf products). Joe W., DMK and I, among many others, all have one-off custom set-ups from EVOMS. Should you desire more evidence, take a look at the following recent thread about a twin turbo GT3 completed by EVOMS: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=74326

The motion for directed verdict is granted.

What option do most of these tuners offer from increasing the redline?

I would love to raise mine which seems to be set at 6500RPM. What is a safe new limit without cams?

With due respect to the Law Craig, est8esq's only argument was that when one says "GO WITH XXX THEY ARE THE BEST, PERIOD!" or similar, they should bring a bit more beef to the table, especially if it is a professional from the business, just to make him a bit more credible if nothing else. There was no mention of custom work. Sorry to take his defense, I feel generous today and doing it for free

ari
The issue is not with the cams. You can go fine to 7k RPMs in stock form, as long as you don't stay there all the time because you end up liking it

Valve springs, rod bolts et al. are the weak link among others beyond that.

Est8esq was responding to the following statement from Jay: "GIAC also will custom build the software for your app, here at our dealership we have tried all the different companies, and we found the GIAC is the best way to go, go with GIAC." I assumed Est8esq's comment about a lack of supporting evidence was addressed to the "custom build" portion of Jay's statement. If, as you surmise Jean, Est8esq was responding to the "GIAC is best" reference, as opposed to the "custom build" reference, my response was misplaced.

Craig,

Last time I inquired, Todd at Evoms said that DMK's car was a standard GT700. I can look up the old post and response from Todd if you like.

I think the definition of "custom tuning" means many different things to many different people. Very few (1 tuner) does truly custom tuning in house with the Bosch ECU.

ah, before or after contuously playing with the wastegates that are
"theoretically" being controlled by the ECU...

Marty...I am sure UMW will appreciate the compliment. We know that they are the only tuner that truly tunes within the Motronic System, maintains factory boost control, retains all emission equipment and is OBD2 compliant as well. You are a gentleman ...Kevin
