not sure where to post: F430 spyder or Gallardo spyder?

Hey guys,
I wasn't sure where to post this question because the respective Fcar, Gcar owners may be a bit biased. I'm currently in the "shopping and research" mode for my next garage addition. I want something Italian. I really am a big fan of the F430 spyder and the Gallardo Spyder. Clearly, the F430 is much more expensive. Other than the cost, I wonder what everyone thinks about how these cars stack up to each other. I'm also thinking about dependability, longevity, maintenance, performance, etc, etc..the whole package

Thanks

I would buy the F430 spyder in a heartbeat. Beautiful car with good performance and it is a Ferrari! Definately on my list of cars to own before I die.

I would have to go with the F430. Gallardo is a great car, but it's not a Ferrari.

Of course I don't have the option since my wife insists on living in a house

It's a shame you want a convertable. Challenge Stradale would be my choice (and 100k+ cheaper)!

Long story short, its far easier and cheaper to get a Gallardo Spyder, but it's not quite as good of a car as the Ferrari and won't hold its value nearly as well.

Yeah, i think that seems to sum it up. I think both cars are fantastic, but there is a reason the Gallardo is 100K cheaper. I have a friend with a red F430 coupe and its the most beautiful car...just stunning. Maybe i should buy his coupe and forget about a topless car. hmmm. decisions

430 Spyder fer chur. And a buy-back guarantee so you can trade it in for a 430 CS when you get fed up with your hair constantly being messed up

Everybody seems to like the 430 over the Lambo. I prefer the Lambo. In most of the comparisons, both cars seem to be just as quick, handle just as well, and sound just as good. The Lambo has more German engineering, thanks to Audi/VW, which is a def plus. It has 4wheel drive. Even though the interior is straight out of an Audi, you can rest assured it won't fall apart. In all honesty I haven't driven a 430, but when I was driving a 360, the door handle came off in my hand, once in another one when I shifted from 2 to 3rd the stick came out in my hand, and in another one the A/C vents fell off. Some friends have a 430, one blew up, the other the computer fried and he had to push it to the side of the road. Either way I am a Lambo lover, and I have friends that are Fcar lovers. In the end, you should get whatever tickles your pickle!
