BINGO, you see so many other cars that go to crap after being modded but you dont hear those horror stories here. I love the TT, you can beat it down at the track and it keeps on going like nothing happened. My M5 did that too (except the brakes) and that's what it's about.

These GT1 based motors sure do seem to be tough.

Well you know I agree since I have a 996TT, however you could build a quicker live axle car and buy a stock 996TT for the same money ;-)

Now THAT is a major and often overlooked combination that a modded TT has - not only go 200 mph, but actually be stable and drivable at that speed while still being able to holeshot well enough to break into the 10's - usually the suspension is so dedicated for drag that ultra-high speed stability is suicidal.

My technician at the Porsche dealership said the Porsche states the engine
is good for 800hp. I will get a copy of the written material and post it.
Think about it, if the engine is engineered for 800hp but has 420-450hp stock. It should last thru alot of thrashing and still be dependable.
