BTW...my highest trap of the day was 136.85mph

in my "GT700"

 

My car was RWD and weighed 3450 with me in it.

Chinitos car is AWD and weighs *at least* 3600 lbs with him in it.

To trap 138.4 at 3600 lbs, he'd need around 650 awhp, or 800 at the crank (using 18.5% loss for AWD).

For my car to trap 136.0, I need about 590 rwhp, or 675 at the crank (using 12.5 loss for RWD).

 

That's about exactly where you should be in a GT2 making 700 HP with a 220 lb (app) driver.

Therefore, I don't think your car is making more than 700 crank HP.

 

There are no hijackers or naysayers. Someone brought up why I posted "800 HP" on the 1/4 mile list for Chinito and I explained it. Simple.

 

Man, Scott. I'm going to go out on limb and say I'm somewhat disappointed by your comments here. I created a thread about an event that we organized and enjoyed. Just about everyone on 6Speed enjoys reading about the events, seeing the pictures and watching the video. Whenever you guys post your Protomotive stuff, I make it a point not to interject any negativity, no matter what I think. I would appreciate the same respect when I post. We made this event open to all tuners and all cars, you guys could have brought the Protomotive cars or anything else out and runn with us. When I inquired about coming to the "Protomotive" Drag Day in Tulsa, I was met with nothing but silence (and I wasn't the only non Protomotive tuned car to be treated like this). I made our event time and place public and opened it to all.

By your posts, you implying that Todd or someone else is lying about the tuning on Chinito's car. Can you see how someone could take offense to this?

I went by myself. I paid for the track myself. I did not invite anyone...
I needed to see where the car is and where its not.
I was the only P car and the only 6 speed member at the tarck. Todd K was not even present.
Im all for ur efforts in bringing these type of events and if I was closer a little I would show up. Unfortunatley I work on the weekends so I can never make these type of events.

Your post is very confusing. I've posted many congratulations in this thread, and I'm *always* supportive of everyone that takes their cars down the dragstrip on this corum. Regardless of the tuner.

Again, this "debate" only started because I posted in the 1/4 mile thread that a particular AWD car that trapped 138.6 was making 800 HP. Someone asked why I posted "800", and I explained why.

Any other posts I made were in direct response to posts made to me.

All of my posts are linked below, so please peruse them and find anywhere where I have been unsupportive or uncongratulatory, other than my sarcastic reply to your sarcastic comment. But yes, I have stuck to my guns about the total HP Chinitos car is making because I know I'm right.

DMK's car was originally claimed to have only 700 crank HP, but then I found out it had 700 *rwhp* (800 at the crank). So it seems to me that a few GT700's are making GT800 power, and I will never knowingly post blatently innaccurate HP numbers on the 1/4 mile list.

I'm sure if I let it slide, we wouldn't be having a debate. But I won't let that stuff slide...regardless of who makes the claim. I wish you could understand and respect that.

As far as you coming to a Protomotive drag day, I'd love to see you show up. I think the ultimate drag day would be one where all the big dogs (and little dogs) can show up and race. I think it would be an absolute blast, and I'd love to take part in it with you, Todd, Joe, and all the EVOMS crew....as well as the UMW crew.

 

After all this talk the really funny thing is that Sonny's car dynoed a little higher than Mike's.

Unfortunately, I still have no clue who you're talking about. But no matter who it is, I think it's very childish that you're laughing at them. Did you laugh like that when it happened to Craig's EVOMS car? I sure hope not.

Regardless...I think you're going way overboard with wanting to delete the thread. But that's your prerogative.
