Sorry to hear about your situation DMK. Can you fill in a few more blanks - like what mods were on the car, oil temp during the run, fuel quality, boost level, etc? Was it bad luck, bad parts, bad tuning or? Not to bash your car but a stock 996TT should have no issues running at 150mph+ for a full tank of fuel.

You were running about 600 to the wheels on a stock bottom end if I remember correctly, yes?

Where you running more than 1.4 bars? What gas were you using?

That sucks!

Please explain: All the top tuners and Porsche mechanics (Todd Knighten, Stephen Kasper, Rob King, Sam Shalala etc.) that I have spoken w/ believe the 996 3.6 is safe to 600 whp if correctly tuned and driven (IE no massive missed shifts) on quality gas.
