My Car is Here!!

..... and I am pissed. Ordered it in October and it is finally here. A Speed Yellow Cabriolet with all the goodies. The problem is I ordered black leather with yellow deviated stitching on the seats, steering wheel and dash. That did not happen. No deviated stitching at all ... MSRP is $145,575.00 with all the goodies.

My problem is one of principal. I want to decline the car. For this much money I should get exactly what I wanted. That's why I ordered one instead of buying something in someones inventory. I don't need the car ... no one needs one of these. I have yet to check it out. I'll go see it this afternoon and will probably change my tune once I see it, but it will never be what I wanted.

Yellow stitching seems quite trivial but it is what I wanted.

I'll probably have a smile later but right now I am dissappointed.

what happens in a situation like this...other than the obvious adjustment that needs to be made to the invoice, are any other concessions the "norm" ?

No Mercy, there's a speed yellow turbo cab sitting on the showroom floor here in So Cal at a dealership called The Auto Gallery. It is SY with black interior and top, yellow belts, deviated stitching and factory painted lower spoiler piece and sideskirt pieces (as opposed to the stock black finish). I can go check the car out further and get a full options list if you'd like.

Don't settle! You didn't pay that much money to get ticked off everytime you get in it. Hold out and get exactly what you want!

NoMercy,

If youre not happy, dont take it. Like a hand-tailored suit, you pay for perfection.

No Mercy,

I know exactly how you feel. My TT Cab has red deviated stitching on the seats, doors and dash, but none of the exclusive options like the steering wheel. These are grey. Why Porsche would even build a car this way is beyond me. Plus, my car has a bunch of extra leather packages including the backs of the sport seats which would have looked sweet with red stitching too. I didn't order my car - it was stock - so I had the option not to buy it. If I were you, I'm not sure I'd take the car. My father has a yellow/black 360 spider with yellow stitching everywhere and it absoultely makes the car. Otherwise it's just a plain-jane black interior. Good luck!

First of all, congrats.

However that fuc*ng sucks.

The Porsche Exchange in highland park has a speed yellow one with painted seatbacks, deviating yellow stitching, carbon/alu and a bunch of goodies.

Call and ask for Shawn Young.

I'd make your dealer swap for the ONE you want.

Shank
