We, FVD, do have a 3.8L kit. It has shown to gain around 40-50HP and 50-60TQ with no other modifications (except tuning for 3.8L of course). Take a look on the online shop, you will see it www.fvd.us .

Its not a full motor rebuild or anything just a piston and cylider kit

You also need head bolts and special head gaskets, some machine work, GT3R oil pump and everything balanced and preassembled then checked and assembled. FWIW I also have a 4.0 liter set.

Joe,

we installed the kit, I have not built this motor.

Rob,
That is 60 Hours of work. I also am a freak when it comes to building motors, I have a clean room, steamers etc. It has to be one way when I do motors. If I had the motor here I could bang it now in a week, but out of my element is almost impossiable.

Choose one..not both. Speaking from experience, this is an undertaking that needs to be thought out and planned in advance. What are the power goals? What is the redline? Can you grow with this engine into a larger kit in the future. Do it right, and do it once.. Kevin

A-MEN!!! This is why I only do it one way. In the end time is a small factor compared to cost and the taste of a poor product. I believe so much in my work I provide a 12month 12K Mile warranty with my motors.
