Pulled the trigger last Sat......
Sold the wife's Boxster and our weekend toy (Cobra replica) and bought the 02 996 TT I was drooling over. It will be her daily driver and my weekend toy.
It's Guards Red, bone stock, 25,000 miles, light tint windows, supple, Bose etc.
Out last turbo was a 930 - damn what a difference two decades makes.

Mine was a Unique FIA replica (they have been in the business since 77 and produce nice cars). I built it in 04 - Mercedes brilliant silver paint, 396 stroker (Windsor based) ported / polished aluminum heads, comp cam, 4 spd top loader, holley carb (highly modified) blah blah blah. I did most of the work including the body work and paint (a first and last for me) and spent about $42K. I put 2600 miles on it and sold it for $39,600.
The car was crazy fast and scary - 2300 pounds and 475 RWHP - 90" wheelbase and impossible to get hooked up. Wheel spin until you let off and it still ran 11's. Fun but not very practical.
What else would you like to know? I'll post pictures of it and the new ride if someone can tell me how.

She is a gear head - I got very lucky - my first wife (the practice marriage) was clueless about cars. This one is great and deserving - hell she puts up with a lunatic. She followed me all over the S.E back in the 80's when I ran SCCA. We did autocross and track days in our 74 Carrera and the 930.
