I was wondering what some of you guys may think about this weird hesitation I had last night. Have not had a chance to try to duplicate today...due to possiblity of snow.
When I was driving home last night (heavy rain and about 35 degrees), I had a weird hesitation in 3rd gear (almost wot) going between 45-55mph. Initially I thought it was PSM , but no lights flashing. Then I would release the gas then reapply throttle, and the car would start bucking as soon boost came on (would hit .3 bar and start). I tried this about 10 times, and it did it 4 out of 10 times. Maybe 1 time out of the ten tries, I saw the PSM light flashing.
On the last straight, I went WOT and it did not do the hesitation at all.
Could it be a bad MAF, loose boost hose, or maybe just time for me to get a new car...Ughhh.

 

Man oh man not again, i would automatically say spark plugs cause its the main sysmptom of hesitation, but its weird its only boosting .3-.4 , or maybe the fact i never noticed it.. Not sure man, but i think it might be time :/

 

Thanks, I guess I should say that it would hesitate at .3 bar, but would not do it everytime. It didn't quite feel like PSM kicking in because it was a very quick bucking. I had the plugs changed not so many miles ago. If there is no snow, I will try to duplicate tonight.

I had a similar problem as well last year. Changed the plugs and all is good now.

Shut the PSM off so you can rule that out of the equation!

 

Any updates on the hesitation?
