For the guys that track your tt's. What type of pad are you running on the stock set up?

pagid oranges with the proper bedding in technique and you will be happy.
I would also change the brake fluid to Castrol SRF.
Let us know what else you need to know that will do it initially!

Here's a recent thread started by yours truly in the Track & Autocross sub-forum. Fewer people visit there!

actually the pads are very rotor friendly.
Also the ATE fluid's boiling point is point is far below Motul and further below Castrol. This becomes a huge factor at the track. Also the reason why people run the front cup ducts.

Tom is right on...Pagid Orange is a great track pad that is rotor friendly. I got almost 1K track miles on my rotors last year using Oranges...they are close to being unservicable now due to spiderweb cracking, but I have a new set on the shelf that I purchased from Sunset for less than 500$....A good set of track pads and R compounds will totally change your track day experience. I do have a set of Pagid Blacks on the shelf that I may try this season, but they are not as rotor friendly as the Oranges, but have a higher coefficient of grip and can sustain higher temps...we will see. Tom made a great point about fluids. I had a religious experience with a pedal to the floor episode at the end of a straight and I have seen the light. I use MotulRBF600 and have had good results. Castrol does have a higher wet boiling point, but I never keep the fluid in there long enough to matter. I will bleed and flush a couple of cases worth of fluid thru my car in a season.Good luck, Kevin

Pagid Yellows of course! It's a better upgrade than +100hp to a 996TT*

This spring I'll try the newer RS29 version (have had only RS19s before)...nice to see whether I'll notice difference.

The new Pagid Yellow RS29's are great! I used the oranges for a couple years and have recently switched to the RS29's. Much better in my opinion - last longer too...

I recently tried Pagid Yellows and Motul 600 fluid. The car felt amazing at the track last week. I still have them on and don't even care about the squealing on the street, they're that good.

for the street, I've been switching out to the pagid sport 4-2-1. good pads for track and street. no squeeling with better bite than the yellows when cold.

Took the words outta my mouth, I have just put on hawks but they dust too much for daily driving. Not getting another set of them unless there is nothing else that wont eat the rotors. They make grinding noises too. what is the proper bedding technique anyways.

I have been using the Oranges but I found that they ate the rotors
(which may just be the nature of the beast on our high speed track).
I would consider yellows but instead I bought the Brembo 6-piston monblocks
from Dan at Vivid. I may even try the street pads at first (on the track) and
see if I can get away with it.

Oak, what are the 421's ? As I was also looking for a street/track pad that doesnt squeal.
