Tire rubbing / **Pics** Do I need spacers?

These are Michelin Pilot Sport 315's on GT2 wheels on my turbo, with no spacers. With the tires rubbing holes in the wheel well liners, it looks like I need about 1/4" relief there. By calcs, that would mean installing 5mm spacer on each wheel to push them out away from the liners.

Has anyone had this problem and does it look like my fenders will accept the wheels ok if there pushed out another 5mm?

Thx

ND4SPED is infamous around these parts
Just installed 5mm spacers on mine with 19' wheels and 315's. Had the same rubbing. These are my street tires which I run some neg. camber on the rears. Also reco rolling the fenders.
No Rubbing Now!!

That's a tight fit. Are you rubbing on the fenders at all now? Are your fenders rolled?

It may rub if you lower your car...

I'm very interested. Keep us updated!

Take that fender liner bracket out permanantly, or take it out and straighten it. Flatten the area around your rub point with a heat gun and something like a screwdriver handle. Hold the plastic to the shape you want until it firms up (cools). Get the brack reshaped so it tugs the liner awat from the tire or remove the bracket and tie back the liner with some coat hanger or what ever works for you. Spacers may create a new problem of fender rubbung. Have you rolled them?

Well, I won't be lowering the car. There's been no rubbing on the fenders to date.

Thanks for the ideas. I haven't rolled the fenders. I'll take a look and the brackets and see if I can modify them to pull the liner away from the tire.

Rolling the funders should give you about 5mm... and avoid the mods and make the car look even more aggressive.

I'm running 315x25x19 on 11.5 (zone 1) rims at stock USA height. No rubbing inside or outside without rolling the lips. But thinking of lowering it and would like to hear if anyone else was able to make this work with just rolling the lips

I run the same 315x25x19 on 11.5 pretty lowered, no rubbing. I'm going to roll the fenders and try 7 and 15mm spacers to see if I can get away with it.

I have 315/18 PS2 in back and they were rubbing. I installed 18mm spacers in back and solved the problem. Make sure they are hub centric.

So where's the best place to buy a couple 5mm spacers for the rears?

You can get 7mm spacers from performance products for under $60. You also will need 10 53 mm bolts.

The dealer sells 5mm and maybe FVD?

The stock bolts are 45mm so add Xmm for the spacer size you are using.

I bet you will have to roll fenders even with 5mm spacer you are already running 12" wheels.

Ari, what struts/springs did you use to lower it? What's your wheel offset?
