Oversteer - AWD
Oversteer - AWD
Okay, so given that i have only had the car a couple months and most of that time we were buried in snow, so i havent had a ton of seat time in the TT yet - and it is certainly a different animal than my M3, my Quattro or my S4 - so for sure i need to clock in several more hours behind the wheel, but i was just watching the 'Porsche 996 Turbo Compilation' on YouTube by 'Salman' and the cars in that video are kicking out the *** end all over the place, like and not just on a clutch dropping burn out donut style, but like accurately drifting turns and such.
My question is does this car oversteer that easily even with the AWD? did those guys have a RWD conversion done? I thought i had read several on here say that the TT actually understeers quite a bit and will push the corner if your not careful...so is there a trick to getting the back end around like that? i have pushed a few and laid on throttle a bit to where i got it to shimmy a bit, but certainly nothing as effortless as getting the M3 to oversteer smoothly. Any advice would be appreciated :-)
Also, same vid, there was a lot of the parking lot burnout/donut stuff too - i notice in this car that 1st gear pretty much doesnt exist, so whats the trick to pulling off silly/fun stuff like that without bouncing off the rev limiter?
Sorry if all that sounds rookie/amateur - i have actually had some good training and a reasonable amount of track time under my belt...maybe its just that flogging on my dream car freaks me out too much to push it, but either way i'm getting used to the car now and wanted to get some advice from the crew :-)
TIA

Also,
once you change out the stock suspension to something better, and
add a rear sway bar (which helps turn-in), you will have all the power induced oversteer that you want. Oh, it doesnt hurt to add a couple hundred ponies also...
