Used 996TT Market

Hello,

For those who are currently selling your 996TT or have sold your TT, how long did it take? Given that your cars are priced fair, did/do you feel that it was/is tough to sell?

It seems like there are so many used 996TT on the market right now with similar mileage and price..

Just like any other sports car, the spring time tends to pick up sales.

I'm just entering the market, shopping for a few months but now serious. Seems to be stiffening up. Huge disconnects between asking and selling, and it is more confusing due to dealer pricing. Lots of cars, few pearls.

Seems many owners either don't want the hassle, or don't mind the hit-or both- or the new car arrives too soon- and it gets turned in to the dealer network. I'm getting ready to make a concerted effort to try to find sellers BEFORE they give up and trade it in!

Hope this helps a bit.

I've been watching the market for ~6 months and the 996TT market has definitely taken a hit. Too many cars for sale at the same time. Only advice I have is don't settle; what you want is probably out there somewhere.

If your a buyer the 996TT market is the perfect storm. Lots of cars coming off lease and lots of people moving up to the 997TT. Hence an over supply situation of pristine 996TT. Given a year or two the supply will dwindle resulting in less choices of prime cars and stronger resale prices.

Low mile cars are still bringing money. Cars with miles seem to be tanking pretty hard. 50k miles 01's can be bought in the high 40's. I saw a 100k mile white/tan 01 tip for $37k in Florida a couple of weeks ago. Had some cosmetic issues but nothing too serious. Probably represents the current bottom of the market.
