Sample of Scargo Roll Bar

Both the cross bar and side door bars are easily removable.

This is a weld in unit. Not a bolt in unit.

Full use of back seat along with full rear seat travel.

The above pics are from his 993 turbo. I also saw a speed yellow 996tt at their place that had an outrageous bar installed similar to to one above. By similar, I mean picture perfect quality, full usage of the seats and fit that is so consistent and close to the body that a credit car would have a hard time sliding through.

Very, very nice. This is in the price range that you mentioned earlier this evening?

CJV it seems like a never ending battle, remove weight, add weight, remove etc... Even though the added safety of this modification is definately worth the weight.

Do you know how much a similar cage would weigh in at?

I remember seeing pix of that yellow car with the roll bar. Looked nicely wrapped in leather and it was a Tip too!

Also CJV, Campbell Auto in San Jose, next to that Ferrari place does custom stuff which is top notch in terms of roll bars. They've done many a race car/show car that looked wicked.

Where do you purchace that bar? Who has the expertiece to install that bar in the Los Angeles area, and what is the approximate cost of the bar that allows you to have full use of the back seats?

I have the OEM roll bar in a 996 TT and had a cross member fabricated (harness guide) so it could be removable to use the back seats. It is brushed stainless and looks great. The only problem is that the tolerance is so tight near the sliding seat belt anchor cover that at speed (> 80 mph), the roll bar (OEM part) vibrates loudly. So I guess the fix is remove the cover? What does SCARGO do about this, especially if the bar is leather covered.

Nice roll bar, but has it been severely crash tested yet?

how many cages are? Most are built to a standard but never undergo any sort of crash testing until it happens. Does porsche crash test their OEM bars?

I can't answer the question about a crash test, however the bar is completed TIG welded by a certified tig welder.

Sharkster, it was probably the same car. Mark Robles, is S Car Go's fabricator. His work is impecable.
