Twin Turbo Engine Dimensions

I'm thinking of using a 996TT engine in a project car of mine, and I was hoping that someone on the forum would happen to have their engine out of their car. If any does have their engine out, could you please measure how big the engine package is without the intercoolers and the associated plumbing? Also, does anyone know what modifiactions are needed to bolt a TT engine to a Boxster 6-speed transaxle? Thanks much...

If you don't already have one, you might want to first check the prices of these engines. The salvage yards usually ask $25K+ for them. Just FYI...

I have checked the prices of the engines, but I am still toying with the idea. Additionally, in the car I am planning, there are few ways I could get the amount of power a TT engine packs for the money.

I've seen a new x50 engine for $19,995 "buy it now" on ebay from a highly rated seller. I don't think it even closed.

That's a fantastic price for this overpriced engine.
