1.4bar with K16-s, is this a problem?

I drive with 2001 996TT
it has alltuning chip, new DV, straight pipes with sport cats, anything else stock. Some days ago I tanked Shell Vpower (something like 99oct?) today i get Bar reading 1.4 for a quarter second?
1.2 is pretty often....
I know that usualy K16-s give 1.1-1.2bar, but if I get 1.4? doesn't it broke something? Yes, mybe porsche digital bar-meter isn't very accurate, but 1.3 is mybe too much too?

The question is..was it just a spike...or sustained....sounds like a spike (1.3-1.4 spikes...not a big deal). Having said that you are probably maxing out K16s at 1.0-1.1 bar...after that they have lost their ability to improve performance. You will have a throttle body shutdown if you hit 1.3 sustained (I think 1.25 is about max...not sure here). Car will go into limp mode. Fortunately the car will shut itself down before serious damage is done (unless other mods prevent this...or you over ride the saftey). BTW, unless your ECU is modified to handle race fuel (the higher octane...less volatile...less likely to combust...slower burn), you are not getting very much for the high octane.

I second what Wross said...my understanding is that k16 loose effeciency after a certain amount of pressure and speed.

its a spike and your blowing hot air thats it. Turbos die at that boost for sure. If the car feels good enjoy it and dont worry. IMO
