Thumbs up JIC Cross installed!

just got my car back with a set of JIC cross coilovers installed. I also had the car corner balanced and realigned. I was a bit worried from all the posts suggesting that JICs are too rough for street use.. but I coudlnt be happier with them. I have the purple springs with the softest settings and the ride is just a tad stiffer than stock. Feels and handles great. Most of my passengers hardly noticed the difference in ride firmness. I also had the car lowered to just above GT2 height. Anyway the point of this thread is... if you're considering JIC coilovers.. go for it. You basically get the best of everything... quality, adjustability, price, comfort, handling, ride height, etc. Just make sure you have them installed by someone who knows what theyre doing.

I completely agree. I have the same set-up. it handles like a new car and my wife can't feel the difference!

i agree as well. with the softer settings the car is very comfortable, yet reacts way better than stock in terms of performance.

For those of you with the CROSS setup...any issues with noise and/or drop link failures? Also, what sway bars are you running?

I am leaning towards them as I do a handful of track events a year and it was recommended to me by my local shop.

TIA

I have Cross...no noise at all, as noted above just slightly firmer than stock, huge gain in handling and balance.

As with any suspension, setup (Orton Performance) and alignment (Gran Turismo East) is the key.

I just finished installing them and there is a nice difference from the stock

setup. I have the H&R rear sway bars with the AP links and they do make

some noise. It doesn't bother me can't say the same for my girlfriend. I

can't wait to take it to the track again. Thanks to Dan at Vivid for hooking

me up!

Hey guys this is Paul at JIC/CROSS. Its good to hear that you guys are enjoying our suspension. I just wanted to add that lot of time people order the wrong set up and thats when it can be too stiff or what not. With correct set up with correct spring rates, you can enjoy the suspension for your own purpose. If anyone have any questions please feel to to call any of our dealer or directly to us here. I rather spend more time with people talking about set ups than talking about getting the wrong set up. Take care....

Hi Paul. sometimes I notice a springy/twangy sound while turning the wheel at low speeds. Is there any fix for this?
