Reminder about our OEM Battery
It's not maintenance free/ sealed . You have to check the water level every year . Mine usually needs about a 2-3 oz fill to the L-shaped tang inside with DISTILLED water every 12 months . Don't let the cells run dry.
Unscrew the caps with a quarter ( 25 cent piece) . Screwdriver may strip the soft plastic .

I got it at a stereo store down the street from my house. The place is Startronics on wilshire, owner is Eddie. The battery is a red optima I believe, but he will know for sure around $150. It has much much stronger cold cranking and is quite a bit lighter. The OEM battery is a piece of junk. Mine ran out just by leaving the radar detctor on. When they did work on my car it also ran out. The price seems cheap. Im on my way up to TOW right now!
A word of advise...Stay away from optima batteries. I have had 2 that failed wthin 18 months, and my brother has had 1 that failed within 6 months. all 3 were the yellow tops, optimas "top of the line" I hear really excellent things about Stinger batteries, you guys should look into them.

I will have to look at the brand name. It was not Griots. Cost about $60 and it has a pulser button to de sulfacate the battery plates. I understand it re news the plates by keeping sulfer off them when they discharge.
