Installed the GT3 seats, pics

I am loving them. I bought them new but second hand thru the for sale area here. I removed the old seats including the rears following al's write up and took great pleasure in vacuuming and steam-cleaning the entire interior (i am a neat freak!). I am just very happy with the car as a whole now. It is very responsive, fast and the seats just make you want to push it in turns. Perfect for me really. Here are a few pics I snapped.

Itll probably be more comfortable if you weave the seat belt through the side gt3 seat holes( top and side). that way the seat belt wraps your body when you click it in. IMO

Suman

Looks great!

That might be a close one. The only way to know for sure would be to find someone with them installed and give them a feel.

FWIW, I have a 33" waist and weigh around 185lbs (athletic build) and find the same seats in my M3 tight but VERY comfortable.

One of the best things you can do for these cars!
FWIW, I beleive that they make a GT3 seat for larger drivers, so the 36" waist guy will have no problem. I am a 34" and I fit into the regular one's perfectly.

wow they look great - how far do they come forward though? I sometimes need the space in the back of the TT for luggage etc, i guess this would mean i cant get these and maintain that extra 'bootspace'?

cheers!

It is definately harder to access the rear storage area. Maybe if you pull them forward it might not be too bad. Between the seats access is a PITA.

I am 6'1 and 170 and fit kinda loose along the hips and tight on the sides of the back. I would think someone 200 and 6 ft would have no problem fitting unless they have a very big back.

I wanted to get these seats as well, but my back and shoulders are far too wide. Im 6'2 215 with 34 inch waist for comparison... I think I am going to go with the oem sport seats with painted backs or the recaro seats that markski had in his car before he got the gt3 seats.

I have a 38 inch waist and the wasit part fits fine, the shoulder area sucks though if you have wide shoulders.
