Apologies to the OP... but I've had my eye on another turbo they have- a 2004:

Any input on pricing on this one? A year younger, and 9k miles...

Thanks

I actually test drove that TT a while back at PMP. I don't know much about it, but it was an excellent car.

I can call Nick over at that dealership whom I am friends with to get the low down if you'd like on that car.

I checked that car out as well end of last year when i was looking. They had it listed back then for $94K, I believe. Very clean car, seems to be well taken car of but price is still high. If you can get it down to 80k, that would be a reasonable buy.

GL...take your time, there are plenty of nice ones out there.

Seems they were overly optomistic with the market when they took that trade... dealer sounds pained.

Can someone tell me if PCNA forces the dealership to remove the CPO if a car has been sitting on the lot for too long? (That's the story for no CPO any more...)

(Kyle- thanks for sharing the thread...I'll PM you)

Interestingly enough I just past the Paul Miller dealership this weekend on RTE 23 NJ and commented to my wife that if that particular car was BLK/BLK I would have stopped immediately and spoke with a salesman. Good luck.

Seems like a lot of people are on a hunt for a 2001-2003 TT.

I spoke to my salesman at PM-BMW today, and told him I didn't want to take the car. I am happy with my leased M3, and even though its just about up, I'll find something of similar payments since it is a daily driver. He then told me since I've bought a bunch of cars from him, he is going to try to work out a lease program with the 03 TT with the option to buy at the end if I would like to. I've never heard of leasing used cars like this. He said he is going to meet with the finance guy and call me later today or tomorrow.

I am going to call Nick at PMP now and get some info on the 04. I'll post in a few.

He is e-mailing me the information as soon as he finished with a customer. I will have it for you later.

I am calculating lease payments to see if I would benefit from that over financing. I am finding that leasing a 70k car will put me around $1,400 payments, and financing will put me around $1,600.

For $200, that is not too big of a difference to opt for leasing over financing. Maybe I am calculating wrong. The dealer says he will make my payments like they are on my BMW - $900/Month. I find that hard to believe, but...I am waiting for his call.

Leasing a pre-owned car (much less one that is a prior body style and almost 5 years old already) is a horrible idea.

Agree, negotiate a price and finance it, you'll have something in a couple of years to sell!
