Is this a MAF straight swap or does it require additional programming?

Without getting into details or specifics (that I am not at liberty to disclose), I can tell you that EVOMS has been working with the Hitachi MAF all week on some high HP cars, including mine, and the results are incredible. EVOMS was able to achieve more power with less boost simply because of the MAF and the flexibility it offers in terms of tuning. This is a great new product. Not only is the Hitachi MAF stronger and, therefore, immune from premature failure, it enables far more precise and efficient programming. No more diodes. No more tricking the ECU. No more limp mode and/or flashing ABS/PSM lights. Instead, more power with less boost, faster spool up, and more precise and efficient tuning throughout the spectrum.

Thanks for the response. Hearing this from a fellow 6speeder makes me feel better. I have been told to may times like most of us that all the other fixes were going to solve the problems.
I will let you all know what happens with the new fix when I get back from Watkins Glen 2 day event.

Re-flashing of the ECU only

It looks like EVO is slowly migrating to the protomotive method of tuning for high horsepower. I recently heard mention of EVO using electronic boost controllers and now MAF sensors capable of handling increased air flow...interesting.

With the high horsepower kits, I can't understand why anyone would go with EVO instead of Protomotive?

Because EVOMS has built tons of GT700's that work very well and can be installed quickly. Above that it might make sense to talk to Proto, but since they are pretty much custom built systems it takes more time and they are booked up for a while.

There is an EVOMS dealer here in Houston (can't say I've heard much about him though). I guess Stephen abandoned the traveling flash show.
