Help with strange noise

I have an 02 Turbo with 3600 miles. Since day 1 there has been a strange whining type noise at different times that the dealer claims is the Turbo's.

It comes at all different times usually around 3k-5k rpms and drives me crazy!

I drove an 01 turbo today very hard for an hour without a hint of this awful howling noise.

Any help would be apreciated.

Vernon, If it sounds like a cow mooing, it could be a leaking or sticking diverter valve.

It might be the diverter valves failing. Most dealers will install replacements under warranty. Just make sure the are the billet type like Bailey's or EVOs.
