Ported Exhausted Manifold!
Hey Alex,
You probably don't remember since you meet thousands of people a year, but you gave me a tour of your shop back in '01, and I purchased and installed a set of Hipermax Damer IIs from you. I'm the guy that bought that HKS Supra (Wil's).
Anyways, welcome on board. If I lived in L.A., you guys would definitely be more than welcome to use my car as a project car. Maybe in a few years I'll be out there... (year right, I say that every year).

What I am refering to is known by people who port heads. If you have a matching port the waves go out the heads and down the exhaust. The waves reverberate back and will go back up throught the valves and combustion chamber. By having a slight ledge/lid on the upper side of the head, the sound waves hit the ledge and deflect back out the header. The two sides and bottom can match. A Graham Bell explains this much better in his book.
I am not sure what you would see between stock and match port like you are doing. However, if you did one like I explained and a match port, you would see what I am trying to explain to you. [/

hey cjv, just wait til SP is done with their car. you're going to wish you lived in Southern California and knew about SP. I can bet you they have more experience than S-Car-Go when it comes to building CRAZY hp (900-1000hp+) cars. I don't see why a Porsche engine would be that much different than a Skyline GT-R or Supra engine when it comes to bolt on parts.
Remember that Wilber had Protomotive build a turbo system based upon what he learned and experienced from Import street racing. SP is at the top of Wilber's recommended list.
Chad, my suggestion to you is ... watch out. You will have a worthy opponent in the HP arena. Alex @ SP is as obsessive as you are when it comes to crazy hp!
