How much does it cost to maintain a 996TT out of warranty?

Originally the plan was always to sell the turbo when the 599 came in, but some I convinced my dad to possibly let me keep the turbo still. The only issue is the warranty is up and were both pretty paranoid about owning expensive cars out of warranty. I am currently looking at buying extended warranty plans, but not really sure who is the best or what to look for. Any advice would be appreciated. It's an '03 Turbo with 8,000 miles lol.

You will not have any issues with it. Yearly service and as long as you don't beat the crap out of it, you shouldn't have any problems for a long time.

You can do the oil changes on your own its very easy. I do mine. I have 35k miles on mine and no problems. Plus you only have 8k on yours.

I think its fair to say that maintenance costs on a porsche will be around the same as any other german car - bmw, benz, etc... at least thats what I've been told.

If the factory warranty has already expired I think your options for an aftermarket warranty may be limited.

my car will be at the track 3 of the next four weekends for two day events. warranty long expired, car driven like it was stolen. never had a mechanical or electrical failure of any sort so far.
brake fluid flushed every event. oil and filter changed every two track days, tranny fluid changed every 6 track days (my upkeep plan, your results may vary)
bottom line answer and you can do a search, these cars are tough dependable cars. Drive them love them enjoy them!! Dont let them sit in the garage!!!!!

Mine's got a little over 40,000 miles and outside of 3 sets of tires, I've spent nothing but oil changes and the plugs at the 30,000 mile mark. I guess I should say i've spent nothing to fix anything that has broke, I've spent LOTS in other areas.

30K on mine.. Only record is spoiler adjustment on the rear. 2 sets of tires. It's better than anything else I have owned before.

Well the truth is the most a out warranty repair will be is a $26k crate motor I hear all the time how tough these cars are. I must have got a bad one. Don't even think Porsche will help you out either. They got their money If you are worried about repair bills sell the car you can't afford it. Luckily when I bought my car I realized all this going in. It's not a Honda it's a POOR_SCHE That is the correct spelling
