kayman is infamous around these parts
realignment necessary after spring settle?

I had a set of JICs installed a little while back and was told by my tech that its a good idea to get the wheels aligned again after the springs settle. Is this a good idea or just overkill? Everything was aligned and balanced once already when the suspension was installed.

probably not necessary. 90% of the time if you align a car, drive it
around the block and put it back on the rack the alignment figures
will already differ a little. If you're doing something highly competitive
such that differences that are too small for you to feel might make
a hundredth of a second difference, then you'll be checking your
alignment every 3-4 months anyway. Otherwise, just be happy until
it's on he rack again for some other reason and get it freshened up.
Anyone that buys springs that are of such poor quality that they
collapse to the degree that is changes alignment in a 'break-in period'
got cheated.
