Bullrun Rally Day 5 - Savannah to Orlando
Bullrun Rally Day 5 - Savannah to Orlando
Day 5 started off with a reflection of the party the night before. Staying at the nicest hotel I have ever been at, we headed from our private dinner to Club 309 for a Bullrun party. The bar was split into 2 sections. 1 for the Bullrun and 1 for the locals. It was more fun to hang out with the locals and hear these stories. While drinkin beers, they had a poor attempt of Coyote Ugly dancers on the bar. This turned into the whole Bullrun coming out and taking over the dancing bar girls with cameras and more.
The morning of Day 5 we prepared our car and helped fix some others. As we lined up, the humid climate was definitely present. Our first checkpoint was a whopping 4 miles away at a road course to give it hell. Once we arrived, we staged in groups of 3. I headed out after the pace car and gave it hell. For a little 1 mile street course, it was fun. At the end, David Green Bullrun Co-Founder, was quite impressed of the push we gave him in the pace car.
After our laps we headed to grab gas before it was time to take off. We decided to split ahead knowing that we were going to the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. Cruising the freeways we saw cops waiting but did nothing to our 1 car. We caught up to 2 others that split early. Half way to Orlando we got a call that a group of 10 was cruising very fast so the Police setup a road block. Rumor has it that 5 people were arrested and 4 cars impounded. Good thing we split early!
With all road trips I have ever had, the infamous truck tire popped up and took out the front bumper lip. Good thing i have another one at the shop! Tonight we are hangin in Orlando and off to Miami tomorrow for the CEC grand opening. Finally heading to Key West on Friday.
