GT2: The right choice?

Hi all. Currently own an '02 twin turbo with an ecu flash and a psi exhaust. Really enjoy it. Don't do any track time. Car is coming off lease in a few months. Considering an '03 GT2 with about 17k miles for about 100k. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Gt2

Coming from a GT700 996TT to a similarly modded 03 GT2, I can tell you that the 2 was the car that I was trying to develop from my previous TT. I just could not get there in terms of weight and handling feel. With current GT2 prices, you almost can't go wrong with a good car. They are the last of a breed in terms of primal drivers cars from Porsche. No TC, PASM, etc. only ABS and LSD. Mine is significantly modded now. My only regret is that to get the most fun out of it one must be going fairly fast. I'd have saved a bunch of cash if I started with the 2 first. These are keepers.

Me Too Nelson!

The GT2 seems to be a logical choice for a fun daily driver.... I would jump on a low mileage, no stories GT2 w/black/aluminum interior right now!

Cheers

Couldnt have said it any better, exactly what i went through and was never fully content with my turbo in return.. The GT2 is what i should have bought and been in to begin with, but its a raw, lean mean machine, not for everyone. I miss the turbo for how easy it was to utilize every ounce of its power without a hesitation or fear, but the involvement just wasnt there and that's what puts the smile on my face

If you have the money to invest in a GT2, do it. I think that the rate that they are dropping in price is going to slow up quicker than the TT's if they haven't already. I've driven my brothers with the PASM and it's fun but not like my GT2. I've never driven a street car that I had to pay so much attention to all the time! Involving to say the least!

I have driven both, a modified TT and a modified GT-2, I will side with NelsonF, the GT2 is very well balanced, honed almost to perfection automobile, Sonny.
