Started my car up, a couple of hours ago, for the first time since winter began (seems like a lifetime ago), and drove straight to the dealership to round-out an Imagine Auto Stage 4 GT/R installation package.

Last fall I had installed:
1. Europipe Stage 2 Loud with X54 tips (can't say enough about that!)
2. Imagine Auto diverter valves
3. K&N filter

Early next week will be installed:
1. IA K24 Turbos with Garrett GT internals
2. IA High Flow headers
3. Stage 2 Clutch
4. Light Weight Flywheel

I reinstalled the ECU a week of so ago after getting it back from Stephen @ IA with Stage 4 GT/R programming.

I can't wait to feel the difference in power these mods will produce!

Hey Mike, which headers did you get?

 

I bought the standard issue from Stephen. In retrospect, I would have had Kevin ceramic coat them and the turbines if I was to do it all over again. By the time I had figured it out, I had already recieved the goods and didn't want to go through the whole import / export bull**** again.

..I've now seen that line a couple of times now....
"K24 Turbos with Garrett GT internals"

Why is this done? Aren't the Garrett GT Turbos (ball-bearing?) supposed to be the hot-ticket these days?

Scott -> I believe the Garrett internals are fitted into K24 casings to produce more power and particuliarily more torque, starting at a lower RPM. I don't believe IA/EVO are using the ball bearing version of the GT turbos. Mabey Stephen can reply to that.
