Eclipse Radio Security Issue
Eclipse Radio Security Issue
I have a problem with my new used car an 89 turbo which I got to join my 2003 turbo. So it needed a new battery (89) when the battery was reconnected the radio lights up but will not play. Read the manual seems you need to insert a "key CD". Well I am the 3rd owner and I have the radio manual. The guy I bought it from new nothing about it since he never disconnected the battery he did not have a problem. Is there a way to get the radio working without having to send it back to the factory as instructed in the manual? Without knowing which CD was used I am stuck All help appreciated thanks

Had an eclipse unit years ago and it happend to me. without the orginal cd that was used as the key, you'll have to send it back to the factory.
giving how cheap the head units are these days, might as well consider change the head instead.

Buddy, I encountered the same thing when installing a cd player that i purchased from a friend. Couldn't get the stupid thing to work, even w/ the CD he told me to buy. I ended up calling Eclipse, and if I remember correctly, I had to fax them a copy of my drivers license and the serial code off the player. Anyways, they gave me an unlock code and I was good to go.
