Real or Fake?
Zippy, that better not be your wife. If it is, what the hell are you doing messing around with cars? Is it just me, or didn't anyone see your post. It is like it was completely ignored.
Caveat Emptor
Be aware that to my knowledge these things are very complicated up to and including the tires. The tires are a special edition by Dunlop (I think) and are unique to the 959. Also most of the four wheel drive control is electronic and I have heard stories of them sitting until a factory technician can make it out to set them right. I know of one that I saw sitting at a local well respected Porsche Specialist waiting for that to happen.
There is also a mileage restriction if it is kept stock. After Canepa "Federalizes" it I think it can be driven without restriction.
But, I still like the looks and it is one special ride!

Oh, and it's not my wife. She would kill me if I ever posted a picture of her!
These guys take this stuff too seriously. And now.... back to the thrilling discussion on the 959........
I read in either Excellence or Road and Track that Canepa sells each 959 for 400k-425k. They aren't stock either, He goes through them and reworks them almost completely. Using the 959 sport model he upgrades the motor (With Motec ECU) to work with high flow cats because the stock Bosch in the 959 doesn't recognize 02 sensors. Ends up with about 575hp or so and 501lb/ft of torque and 0 to 60 in 3.1 and 100 in 6.9.
