It's more than likely real...Bruce Canepa has some US legal ones for sale on his website too I think..at least he did at one time.

Yes this guy shows up at CC every once in awhile... that shot was taken in Carona del mar a couple miles north of the Crystal cove car show. It is in mint condition!

What a timeless piece. I hate to admit it but I would loose the TT if I could pull one of those off in a heartbeat. They are still one of the best looking cars Porsche ever built. Funny how much that car lead the way technology wise for where are cars are today.

Last I heard there are 10 to 13 real 959 in the U.S. I have personally come across 3 at a Local Dealer (Keuylian Motorcars in Beverly Hills they specialize in hard to find exotics).

if you abstract yourself from your pro-porsche head, a 959 is actually a strange piece of period design, and for me quite unattractive -- but it's performance is stunning
