That's definately his. Maybe it was supposed to be a surprise after it's fully tuned.

the owner actually has a turbo himself... yellow just like me...
he'll be developing his own setup on turbos, ecu and etc...
it's been known that Jap car's turbos sometimes are more advance than the KKK and etc... and therefore Alex is trying to work out a setup that implement jap technology to our turbo...
and this will for sure be my next setup after the development is done.
I'm really looking forward to his research.. (of course he'll be using his own car as a project car), and after everything is done... I guess i'll be the first one trying out the product...^____^ hehehehe

Don't what Tyson said... this car, when fully deveoped... will only be a monster...

Who are the Japanese turbo manufacturers? HKS?

I know Borg-Warner makes the KKK series and they are German.
And the Garret makes all the GT and T series turbos and they are American.

He posted several pictures of them a while ago. You might be able to search and find them. So is Mitsu the only Jap turbo maker?

Frosty thanx for the info...
I guess Alex (SP) was talking about something else then...
I think he's better in explaining what's going on in this case...
mind give me a hand Alex?
(all I know is that he's trying to apply jap parts to our turbo, but I guess I took it in the wrong way by referring it to the turbo portion)... excuse my fault statement ^^ my sincere apology...

Basically, Alex is applying what he has mastered in the Japanese turbo car world to Porsches. A turbo engine is a turbo engine after all.

I believe that once he gets comfortable with the Bosch code, he will create an awesome package. I would venture to guess that many of these parts will be from some of the top vendors such as Blitz, HKS, or GReddy.

As you know the blue Protomotive car used a lot of these same principles and look at the result. Alex @ SP will indeed create something very special, and he will get my full support!!!

No prob Luting. So just to clarify, there are no Japanese turbo makers? (ie, ones that fully manafacture turbos from scratch)

I'm just trying to do my turbo research and see which companies produce them.

To clear things up a little bit. There are many Japanese Automobile companies that offer factory turbo cars. But for extra information, Garrett is an American company. But, there is also a Garett Japan which makes the turbos for HKS. We are researching different turbo setups as of right now that we can offer the Porsche community, as well as intake and exhaust setup kits for the future. For any information, please feel free to e-mail me and/or contact me through the booard. Thank You!
