Question Stupid Question about clutch

If you burn your clutch on the Turbo, does that burning smell come from the front or the rear of the car?

Thanks in advance!

Mehrabani,

Thats what I thought also. But my car has developed a weird smell coming only from the drivers side front wheel well. Smells almost like dry urine. Any idea on what that smell may be? I'm stumped

It's probably mold growing in the A/C.

The worst possible smell that comes from a car is the driveline fluid. It really stinks (not like urine though). I also think you may have some mold in your AC system. This is common on many cars. Have you been running your AC recently?

Thanks for all your responses!

As for the mold in the AC system, I havent been running the AC at all given the crazy weather here in Beantown lately. When driving, I usually set the temp at about 71 degrees. I guess I will have the dealer check it out when I bring it back for some other stuff in a couple days. Thanks again for all your help!

It is usually not mold in the AC but Aspergillus fungus. It is what makes you sneeze if you haven't run the AC in a while. Remember, if you run the Defog you are running the AC. The fungus usually does not have a strong odor, it more smells like something damp. If urine is the close smell, is there any chance a cat could have marked the car with his scent (ie a restaurant parking lot, or perhaps at your house). That smell is strong, doesn't fade and obviously doesn't have anything to do with the car itself. Let us know what you figure out.

I was also going to suggest a cat or dog urinated on your tire. I've seen it happen before. Do you keep your car outside anywhere long enough for this to happen?
