That report says that 14 GT2s were brought state-side in 2001. I thought 2002 was the first year for the GT2 in the U.S. So a couple were officially brought here in 2001. Interesting to say the least!
Even though they were here in 2001, they were still 2002 models. If you buy a brand new car in September of this year (2007), it will be a 2008 model.Originally Posted by Phoenix

(14) 2002 models were sold in the year 2001. The rest were sold in 2002 and up like your original post states...for a grand total of 317 GT2's sold in the US.
There were no K24 cars (X50 option and GT2) sold in the US prior to the 02 model year.
