You sure the car has not been tracked?
Assuming the car has not been tracked, and the car is truely mint, it is still a 8+ year old used car with low miles.
The big problem to me is the 4K miles means the car is still "new" and it is at risk of suffering from new car ills.
Now maybe it won't. With my 2 long term experiences with Porsches (02 Boxster bought new in 02 with factory delivery miles and an 03 Turbo bought used in 09 with 10K miles; the Boxster had nearly zero problems in its first 80K miles while the Turbo (in mint/pristine condition) had a fair share of problems. Thank goodness the car had a CPO warranty.
The other problem is the seller is going to want/expect anyhow a premium for the low miles car.
But if you pay this as you add miles the premium goes away and you will bear more of your fair share of the car's depreciation.
But a low miles and mint GT2 and in speed yellow no less is an enticing automobile.
Thank goodness my bank balance eliminates this car from my consideration.
A tough decision face you do.
Sincerely,
Macster.

That car has been sitting for a long time... The low miles are definitely good for interior wear and tear. Depending on how/where it was stored, the interior trim could be very brittle and may break if any attempt is made to remove parts for any reason. The low miles are bad for many of the rubber/plastic mechanical parts. Lack of regular lubrication may cause failure in seals resulting in leaks. As other have said - this is a tough call. You will have to touch and feel to determine if you are comfortable with the risks.

2nd this. Don't bother unless you're getting a hell of a deal. I've seen cars like this and owners are usually asking far too much.

yeah i would pass on it ....better to buy the chipped up well worn 50000 mile GT2 as you will have no problems with them.Seriously 4000 miles is enough mileage over an eight year period to keep everything running well and operable if it was serviced and maintained properly.I will give ya 60 k for it tomorrow

You can get a nice used 997 TT for that and have money left over to mod it. That would be my choice.

This is true and would probably be my decision as well.
