Anyone in Houston Have a LWFW?
Anyone in Houston Have a LWFW?
My car has 53k miles and I want to flash it, so I'm sure the clutch will throw in the towel about 15 seconds later
I used to think a LWFW was a no-brainer upgrade, but a few threads recently has cast doubt. If anyone has one in Houston (bonus points if it is a UMW combo) has one I'd like to hear it (for the chattering issue) and see how hard it is to engage in 1st........since I have all the coordination of an out of shape white guy
Thanks!

I covered this in a thread in rennlist. Do a search there....
Go for my name there.
Thread is:
New UMW LWFW kit and BOV's are in...wow!
Movie of sound:

Hope this helps. The thread covered the issue. I love my LWFW. I have grown completely used to it. Full UMW kit....Kevin really helped me out in a major pinch when things went sour for my OEM unit. Got it to me where/when/how. Amazing service.

Thanks for the video, but there was so much background noise I didn't get much out of it**. Hope someone in the area has one I can hear and try.
**except I'm glad I don't have a wood steering wheel

Does black look good in a natural leather car (impossible to find the same brown aftermarket I assume...).
BTW, that background noise is the car at idle.....stock exhaust...you are hearing it. It sounds very raw...the "clanging" is the boxer engine doing its thing. Nothing more. I love the noise now....not a big deal.
Prior owner was a sound person.....so car was dynomatted.....with the windows up, it is pretty quiet...no road noise, but engine noise...he set it up that way. Really makes the car more fun. Unusual mod, about 10 pounds to 20 I guess, but I am small and it really makes the car. He spent a fortune to do it...have the receipt...thousands ....

I talked to Akram 2 days ago, Rob. I will see him at the HPD 500 meet tonight. Are you going?
We will start my project as soon as we get a build plan coordinated w/ Todd K.
