Thumbs up thanks PTarga!

Hey PTarga, thanks for the welcome! I'm glad to see someone else from H-burg representin' on here! Yep, I'm a PCA member for several years now, most of which was for PCA Potomac when I lived in DC. I've done a few of the CPA autocrosses so far, but none yet in the Turbo. Hoping to get out for the September one.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want so we don't completely disrupt this thread.

Va. drivers beware!

I don't know if this is the right area to post it but I think my fellow pcar lovers, in Virginia, should see this. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/18/1818.asp I hope this isn't a repost.

Driving as little as 15 MPH over the limit on an interstate highway now brings six license demerit points, a fine of up to $2500, up to one year in jail, and a new mandatory $1050 tax.
Driving in VA takes ***** or great restraint.

So what, they felt the "car tax" didn't hit you hard enough between the legs every year???

I am so happy I left that high tax state and moved to sunny florida.

I never liked the fact it was the only one of 50 states where radar detectors are illegal.

When I moved here (after 30 yrs in VA) the first thing I purchased was a V1.

Everything but the annual tax will apply to non-VA residents.

VA is one of the states where it's most important to own a V-1.

From the article:
"Although the amount of the tax can add up quickly, the law forbids judges from reducing or suspending it in any way. The tax applies only to Virginia residents, so that out-of-state motorists only need to pay the regular ticket amount. Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Texas also impose a somewhat more modest driver responsibility tax which they apply to out-of-state residents."

I was referring to the jail time. That is why I won't go to VIR.
