Have any of you heard of the 996 Turbo Tuner by Split Second tuning? I’ve not seen any independent reviews, so I’d like your input before testing it on my 996tt.

I think these guys are located in Orange County. If you check, a very recent issue [perhaps the last one] of European Car had a review on this unit, but it was somewhat of a pr piece [as most of these reviews are]. Still, worth reading.
Hope it helps.

Thanks John,

Shop sent me this thing to try on a 996. I don’t want to plug this device in without seeing a few independent reviews.

Keith, I think I'm going to send this device back to the pro shop. I'm already sustaining .9 bar with 1.1 peaks. This device is for a stock ECU. I don't want to overboost. If there is anyone in Md. with a stock ECU who wants to give this a try, lets say at MIR on test and tune day, I'd be happy to meet them there.

Hi Ven,

I bought a product for my GMC Truck on ebay several months ago that was suppose to be a module and it turned out to be a single resister that was to replace a temperature sensor. Thus fixing a value in the math. It was supose to increase HP and mileage, etc. It didn't cost much and it was not worth sending back. Your purchase kinda reminds me of my little purchase. Just how much conditioning can be done using four wires from the MAP Sensor? And how accurately??? I don't think that is a substitute for a new ECU or a good flash. I always enjoy a good flash from the right gender...

Ven - I am in MD and also have my spare stock ecu. Lets test that thing out, we could see it vs. an Upsolute ECU and stock. Where are you in MD? I will be at MIR per this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=88972
