2001 TT - are they reliable and what is the 0 to 60 times tip and 6 speed ???

I understand that the 2001 TT has now dipped in the $40s range. I still can not believe it. But I was wondering the following questions:

1) - if anyone with a 2001 TT would recommend the car.
2) - 0 to 60 times for a tip and a 6 speed.
3) - possible concerns with a non-warranty car
4) - issues to be concerned with

thanks again

I had an 01 and never had a problem with it other than having to replace the clutch after only 20k miles (expensive).

I have over 10k track/aggressive driving miles on my turbo and have only had the shift linkage brake...its just a small plastic piece that connects your shifter to the rest of the tranny...just replace that with a billet steel version and put some billet DVs in...and your golden...wonderful cars!

Find me some in 40's and I will buy them all. Any good ones right now in great condition are around 57-62K. The low 50s are high mileage and kinda trashed.

I have a good friend that is a car broker, so we would get it at the auction. They are trading in the $40k and low $50k depending on the mileage all day long : )

Would a 40,000 mileage TT have you concerned with anything ???

oh.. wholesale was my first guess... 40k miles should not be alarming.. Mine is now 48k and still alive and kicking...

For $40K who cares what condition it's in, cuz you're probably gonna dump another $20K into mods. These cars are suppose to be bullet-proof (knock on wood).

I have 60k miles on my '01 TT. The only problems that I have had were the alternator going out and the rear spoiler actuator failing. Other than that, it has been a great car.

Yeah, that kind of mileage should be fine, mine has been an awesome car. I have some friends that can get a similar hookup i think too...I should get another one :-)

I still have my 01 - it has 28k miles on it and its been super reliable (knock on wood)! And if you are getting an 01 with low miles for 40k then thats unbelieveable!! If I were to list mine now it would be in the 70k range but then again I have 600hp mods plus body kit, wing, and 10k audio system installed. I love my car - would have a hard time letting it go for something else. From what Ive seen prices are from mid 50k to mid 70k depending on miles condition and mods.
