Glad you got your car fixed. I pretty much have the same issue just abs/psm lights. Still boosting 1.0 or so and no other symptoms. I hope to borrow a code reader in the next day or so.

I have these same codes kicking every time I go to the track, along with CEL and Low brake Fluid... Drives me nuts... I was thinking it's the Fabspeed exhaust I've installed that's choking the car down a little (Feels a tad slower) and I need to maybe check that brake switch... That's a good catch to whomever posted it... I'll plug in my scanner/software this afternoon and see which codes I have!

The low brake fluid light is a brain buster, because the master is topped off before every track event. The CEL makes sense because it's just running too rich with these 100Cel cats. The other issue with PSM/ABS is likely that brake switch, but I'll run the codes and see what it comes up with.

can you please tell me if your abs worked or failed alongside the psm...both my lights are on and I dont have either...I dont care much for psm but the abs i miss sooo much.... coz i lock up all the time... and am not in race mood always... you know... but I cant get anyone to fix this and I dont want to take to porsche to get jacked !!! 2001 996tt.... ABS airbag and PSm lights are on.. and none work.. can you help out

If I recall you told me that u bought ur car that way... with the lights on... then u ran a 996 NA MAF... no wonder u have Cels... about the air bag.... not sure on that one... maybe u dont have airbags all together... I suggest u going to the dealer once and getting them to diagnose ur lights... just put in a correct MAF before u do it... LOL
aslo .. check and make sure the part number on ur new MAF is not the saem one as on the maf u just pulled out...

 

nah...they werent!! you geek! they went on after... and yeah I DID GET A NEW ONE!! ITS IN AND the lights are still there... goign to take to porsche I guess... no choice... my durametric software alongside laptop is in colombia... YOU KNOW WHY !! lol.... women...lol.... and I got the proper maf from arizona auto.. like you suggested! aight!! next week i get the monster out!! everythign is in!! jsut have to mount the bumpers! FINALLY!!! wahts a dme? some other forum said it oculd be that...???

 

DME is ur ECU. its not that... trust me. If u would be more careful and not be swapping parts from cars in ur showroom maybe ur car would not have problems LOL J/K. did u check the part numbers on ur mafs... please check because u told me that they said its the same as the non TT P car and that is not correct.... what were u doing when ur lights came on first???? alsom ur abs/psm has nothing to do with ur air bag lights... so something strange is going on.....

Yesterday I had also PSM, ABS lights on. After 5 minutes lights gone and not come back. MAF?

3 questions:

1)Is is possible if it's MAF failure, after 5 minutes lights stop?

2)If it's my MAF wrong which code is it?

3)Is it not simply ABS captor?

Mine did the same thing and it was a MAF. It sputtered and then re-gaine full power but with the ABS/PSM lights on. I was still able to pull peak boost afterwards. Took it to EVOMS and ran all codes, changed the MAF and it was perfect once again.

 

I suppose anything is possible, but that has not been my experience. What I have found with the MAF is you throw ABS/PSM...then 30 seconds later...CEL.

There are a number of codes as Steve says...P1123, P1125, P1128, P1130 usually.

Don't know what this is...you might not have thrown codes, but just had the PSM kick in...did you lose traction?

 

Do you get CEL lights, after the abs/psm lights? I have not had a CEL light, just the abs/psm. Now I get them all the time, even cruising at 20mph down a residential street.

No I have no CELL just ABS and PSM lights...What can I do first guys? Buy a new MAF first? Or go to porsche and read codes? But in this case I don't think that they can see with these codes if it's MAF or not...
