Does anyone sell tuning software?

As far as complexity, well the original programming by Bosch became so complicated that software had to be written to just get start up. Form there was 100 hours on the engine dyno, then the street tuning. The newest of the TTs are 3 times more complicated than the 996TT. In addition to the software you will also need the ability to write to it, that is a whole separate subject. Bottom line a serious hobbyist is probably not going to be able to pull this off.
No, it is nothing like Motec or Haltec hence why so many people like to think piggy back is the way to go. The programs in the car are too smart and will stop you shy of 600HP FWIW.

It is just not cheap and even if you do buy it there are more maps then you can imagine in there. Witout the Damos files you are sunk.
Even with a damos, you will still have to sort through ~4300 active maps in an me7 ecu to figure out what it going on. It takes the average person (myself included) 2-3 years to really understand what is truly going on in the ecu, unless you have a significant amount of help from an outside source.
Tuning these ecus requires many things you cant just buy, ie. a high speed data logging application, in circuit emulators, a dyno ect ect.
Tuning the me7 ecu is much more involved then any other ecu I have ever touched! But once you have it dial in, its worth the time, head ache and frustration it took top get there.

You need the hardcore stuff to be able to do what you want it to do... maybe its good for 500 rwhp but anything beyond that I would not be so sure.
My friend uses the Revo stuff on Audi's but its very limited in use...

If there is enough interest, I can most likely put somthing similar together for these cars.

Just waiting for a test car....

i had a map-ecu on my supra and, while one can take a certain amount of joy in tuning their own car, i'm glad i don't have to mess w/ it anymore. (of course, on the flipside, when something goes wrong, i have little to no visibility on what's wrong.)

Nevertheless it is a wonderful setup once you gain a grasp on the entire setup.
Yeah, I suppose I should have been more specific.
My experience with LS1/LS2/LS7 pcms is using HP tuners software which reads the stock calibration and allows you to change parameters in various tables.
I want no part in sorting out raw unorganized data from a foreign (to me) PCM
