Stage 4GT GT2 VS Stage 2 revisted
Just wanted to update everyone as to real world results after Todd from Evo and Stephen from Imagine Auto came to Chicago to fix the programming on Shank's GT2. As you know they came out to Chicago on their dollar and fine tuned Ryans GT2 programming. The programming needed to be fine tuned because the programming was catered to the AWD turbo and hadn't been done on a GT2. Well, safe to say they know have the programming for the GT2 they were looking for! Ryan and I did a couple highway runs from about 60 to 120 and it was a joke. I think I stayed with him for about 3 feet
The acceleration is simply amazing with the stage 4GT programming. He pulled away from me so quickly and so ferociously, I couldn 't believe it was the same car. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that what Todd and Stephen came to accomplish was accomplished. Kudos to Todd @ Evo and Stephen At IA.

I think that it would be fairly even with a slight edge to the GT2 because of weight. However, from a start, the AWD turbo would probably win. Just speculation. You should ask ShankGT2 or 996TTr, they just did some highway rolls last week after Todd and Stephen were in Chicago.

I called Lou on his cell phone when we were going at it, and advised him to stop wearing his skirt, and to floor it. It felt like I was racing a boxster in reverse towing a camper.

Did you notice a big difference after they fixed your car, or was it only untill you raced Lou did you realize how much faster it got?

ALRIGHT!!
Thanks for the update Lou. You have no idea how I have waited for this post. Even though we knew it should be close you still wonder when and how it will turn out. Glad to hear it. David ran Ryan and they were neck and neck. Looks like the cars are where they should be.
Thanks again!

Yes,
The cars do seem to be running much better. Shank and I are very even but I had straight pipes on mine which probably made a little more horsepower. I am actually having my car dynoed tomorrow again before we take the straight pipes off and put the Europipe on. It will be interesting to see how much if any power is lost by going to the Europipe.
The straight pipes are pretty annoying. I had a 80 year old guy that lives two blocks from me give me the bird as I drove by. Parents are also pulling their kids inside the house as I go by at 20 mph. I had another 996 turbo pull up next to me at the light and when I revved the engine, he ducked under his steering wheel.
Stay tuned for dyno results this week.

When are you going to do all this and where? I have to pull my exhaust off as I am selling my car. I would love to dyno before I remove the exhaust and after I put the stock exhaust back on. Let me know.
