Re: waste gates, I was told by more than one expert that
there is no benefit for k16s (which I have).

Thanks. I don't push nearly that hard I guess.....18mpg sitting at 3k rpm mostly on country roads and 22mpg on the highway going about 75 when I even see 6th (very, very rare event).
