I installed the 6k watt zenon bulbs in my former M5--they looked great but they were definately less bright than stock. I would stick with the stock bulbs.

These Philips bulbs were much brighter then the factory bulbs. I checked out the website above and those bulbs are definetley not the same as the ones I have. I gurantee these Philips bulbs are much better.

But as KJM3 said if you want the look go with it. The bulbs are Philips and that is the only company that makes a good quality 6000K bulb.

That is why I was thinking I could bride the gap with 5000k HID lights. Bluer with not as much loss in lumens. Does anyone know if the 5000k H3 Halogens will match the 5000K HID's??

The bling in HIDs is not the constant blue. It's the changing of colors effect and you lose that if you "upgrade" to Phillips Ultinon 6K bulbs. Don't ever go with cheapo non-German made bulbs.

Check out www.hidforum.com for more info. 4100K bulbs throw out the most lumens. Everything else is for show.
