I would really need a 2 step and a 50 shot of NOS to get those babies going... and 30 psi would be nice too. But no, we actually ran 1.47 bars only and launched at 4300 rpms. One run only. I knew all along the car is blazing fast... the 4.78 with 2 shifts tells the whole story. I think if I choose to run it again and get an Iron single mass clutch just for the track the times would improve substantially. we only did 5.5 60 to 130 mph on that run... slip slip slip....
I must say that the clutch is awesome... feels great ... but seems to have an issue when banging thru the gears... we are looking into a solution for some time now.

Well done dude, you deserve it with all the effort that's gone into that car!
Just curious (The car would take off, lol!) wonder what would happen if it had a little shot of NOS (Just for one flying run), Think it's worth one for a record 8's? lol

Congrats mark, I think it's obvious had the clutch held up, you would have put down mid 9's but the 9.911 was fate, you probably couldn't replicate that if you ran it 100 times. Go have some fun now, when you get the clutch issue squared, then maybe go on out to the track for one last run before you retire her from 1/4 mile duty. Also, what tires are you running when at the track? I know BFG just came out with a new G-Force drag radial meant for cars with large wheels and low profiles. They might be useful for 1/4 mile times, especially if you get to where you can launch really hard, though dropping the hammer at 4300 sounds like you launched fairly hard on this run. Next, lighten the car up a bit, CF body panels, Dymag Wheels, strip out the sound deadening and carpet....It really is a disease isn't it
Better yet, just go out and enjoy a track day (on a road course) now and remind yourself what the cars were really meant for.

Mark,
Well Done! I knew that car had 9's in it from the beginning and you kept
at it until you made it happen. Now get a new clutch and stay away from that dragstrip and just enjoy your car!
A 9 second car that you can drive daily, take to a road course and waste anything but straight out race cars (and maybe a few of them too) is truly unique. As you know most 9 second drag cars are tubbed out, stripped out, skinny front wheel, trailered drag only queens.
CONGRATS!!

Marksi,
You made my DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
I must say I admire your persaverance: you, like most of us that
are not multi-gazillionares and work hard for our money and this
was painfully expensive to accomplish.
Now on the positive side you
have one of the (if not the--depending on how it is compared) fastest
Porsches in the world
, go out and enjoy it. Kudos to Todd and Cyn
and the hot shoe Bobby who all have poured time into this endevour.
This is more exciting than Bastille Day for me, LOL. Enjoy it for a few
months
and then lets get KPG to haul us down to the ONE TEXAS MILE
in October...soft launch for you and you have 200 mph in the bag...
Congrats my friend, sorry for the ramble my mind is spinning!
Marty K.
