Tiptronic that should read . It looks like their is a spring clip under the silver push down **** but is that it as it still doesn't come off easily ??

Grab it with a plier and pull out gently. It should come out.

ok Allan I have to pull the spring clip fully out and not just over the plastic crest ?

Posts
Use a small size flat head screwdriver to pull out the spring and pull the silver cap out and should be easy to release the shift ****.
