Kid working at McDonald's drive thru. OH BOY!
I think we're just lucky to grow up in an era when your mom's grocery getter car could have had a 460 ci engine. My kids are 21 and 17 and they have some idea of what was around when I was 14 YO. Now most of the Detroit Iron is shaped like a turd and run like one as well. I would befriend these kids and it my just bridge the gap between our generations. How else are they going to learn? If a kid entered a Porsche Dealer and wanted to look under the car or sit in it, I would bet the sales staff would try to usher they off the floor in a hurry. If all you have been exposed to is a Boom Box, then that is what is important to you…
I think 10” sub-woofers belong with my 7.1 surround system and 1080i HD Screen, not my car…

I couldn't disagree more.......I LOVE having ultra nice stereos in my cars.......I still love to listen to REALLY loud music occasionally and I can't really do that in my home....I would be blasting out the neighbors or the family or the wife, etc......AND when I get home....I don't really sit around and just listen to music....always have something going on...but when I'm in my cars......well.....it's either quiet time....talking on the phone or listening to music/radio.....so my quality music time tends to always be in the car.

Nevertheless, the air from the intakes on the fenders do not go into the engine. That air goes in the intake, cools the air flowing through the intercooler, and then out the vents on either side of your rear bumper. The air intake for the engine is through the rear deck lid (see location of air filter).

I once had a younger boy ask me if "the holes in the side of my car caused it to go slower due to wind resistence"?
I told him to go running, while pinching his nostrils shut, and see if that helped him or not!! The look on his face was priceless.

I had the front hood open in a parking so I could get something from my bag. While I was there this hot little number stopped beside me and asked if I was having engine problems.....well, obviously not, but good times anyway!

This thread is not funny, everyone doesnt have the care to know where a porsche motor is.

I think we have now established that the automotive challenged can be from any age group, sex or tax bracket. We just have to share our passion with them and hope they learn something!

I may even take the stereo out of the car, I'm about to install a Europipe Stage 2 Loud and that is enough music for me when I'm driving...
. Just kidding, I'll keep the stereo; I wouldn't know what to stick in the open hole.I think I'm becoming my father and I feel like one of the old farts at work... 51 YO, .......must....think....younger......resist....res ist…
Cheers,
