Who has used TOYO Proxes T1R 315 25ZR19 98Y?
What are you running on the front?
I have Michelin PS2 in 235 35 19 in the front and I have PSM kick in much sooner now with the Toyos than I used to with 315 25 19 Contis in the back.

Do you have the same Toyo on the front? If not what do you run in the front?

When you mix and match, you also have to deal with how old the particular tires are and how that may/may not be affecting the handling. Unless all 4 tires are same spec/age/treatment it can be a guessing game. Also, don't forget that some new tires require some break in before they are optimum. More than once in the past I bought street tires that were scary for about 100 miles but then worked very well. [Back in the day I would go out and run them really hard and scrub them in in about 30 minutes.... but I'm not crazy anymore. Oh, and my tires actually somes get too old and hard before I wear the the tread out. I never would have believed!]

. Bad idea. Moral of the story: Do not mix and match. (actually the moral of the story should be: if you are going to turn off your PSM, lower your speed and get an instructor in your car)
The different diameters of the tires will set off the PSM at every turn which I am sure is not too good for car.I immediately ordered a set of Toyos for the front. I've tracked with them on. They have no where near the grip of the PS2s but they reach their limits smoothly which makes for a fun set up at the track (but obviously not the fastest). They cut through water very well but I can't comment on their wet braking ability. They also seem to be wearing very well. Cheap tires that last long.
